Winners in seven categories were named Thursday at a luncheon for the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Nonprofit of the Year Awards.

Tampa, Fla. – (January 10, 2012) – The University Area Community Development Corporation, Inc. (UACDC) of Tampa has selected Dan Jurman to lead as its new executive director/chief executive officer.

YOUTH MEET WITH STATE LEGISLATORS
Tampa, Fla. - For some of these teens, this trip will be the first time they've ever traveled outside of Tampa. For others, it will be their first stay in a hotel. And, most importantly, it will be the first time they've ever had an opportunity to shake hands with state lawmakers who hold the decision making power over funding Prodigy, the very program that has transformed their life.
