partners coalition
A coalition is defined as a pact among individuals or groups, during which they cooperate in joint action, each in their own self-interest, joining forces together for a common cause. Doing just that, the UACDC Partners Coalition consists of businesses, organizations and individuals who have a vested interest in the University Area Community and a mission to improve it. The purpose of the coalition is to:
- Educate members on the latest programs and initiatives taking place in the community
- Generate collaborative opportunities for funding
- Serve as a “family of resources” for University Area residents
- Share timely information and undertake common initiatives when possible
- Determine strengths/weaknesses of the community and identify ways to use/combat them
Established in January of 2013, the UACDC Partners Coalition is currently over 200 members strong and steadily growing every quarter. A Membership Directory is compiled after each quarterly meeting and distributed to all participants. This allows members to keep the lines of communication open between quarterly meetings, and refer clients or program participants with ease.
2024 Meeting Schedule
Meetings occur on a quarterly basis and consist of various combinations of Group Networking, Guest Speakers, Training/Educational Components, Member Highlights, and Sponsored Breakfasts. Members also have the opportunity to visit Resource Tables pre and post meeting, to learn more about services/programs currently being offered in the University Area.
