About: In 2020, the vibrant front mural of the Harvest Hope Center materialized through a collaborative effort involving students from the University of South Florida and the artistic guidance of Junior Polo. This inspiring initiative was born out of the dedicated volunteer spirit fostered by University Area CDC’s community outreach efforts. Polo envisioned and crafted the design, with students contributing their time and skills on a voluntary basis, creating a dynamic and engaging mural.
On the side of the building, is another mural skillfully painted by Prodigy® Cultural Art students and their parents. This artistic endeavor added an extra layer of creativity to the Harvest Hope Center, showcasing the collaborative spirit of the community.
At the back of the building, another noteworthy mural came to life, generously funded by Bank of America and the Rays Foundation. This mural was created on the same day as the installation of a playground at Harvest Hope Park. The convergence of art, community involvement, and philanthropy marked a memorable occasion that added both visual and recreational enhancements to the Harvest Hope Center.
