About: In 2018, the Love sculpture came to life, thanks to the generous support of the Gobioff Foundation. Serving as the inaugural masterpiece, Love was a collaborative effort involving a talented ensemble, including artist Junior Polo, Prodigy® Cultural Arts Program youth, dedicated community residents, and passionate volunteers.

The genesis of the Love sculpture sprouted from the heart of the community itself, where the notion of expressing love through art took root. University Area CDC Executive Director & CEO, Dr. Sarah Combs, engaged in open dialogue with community members and Polo, where discussions revolved around the vibrant expression of this emotion. Together, they painted a vision where the sculpture would burst with life through a carefully curated palette of vivid and spirited colors.
