MARQUE: The teal structure is reminiscent of the many buildings throughout the University Area Community that are associated with University Area CDC. The color and design of the structure can be seen throughout the area.

SUN: The rising sun (or horizon) behind the marque structure indicates the dawn of a new era where optimism replaces despair in the University Area Community. It symbolizes University Area CDC as a beacon of hope and safe-haven for those who need a voice.

PEOPLE: The image of two people holding hands is indicative of families or groups coming together. The usage of figures in this gestural style is also similar to the imagery used in the Florida Department of Children and Families’ logo and is intended to help identify University Area CDC as a service provider to families and children.

POSITIONING LINE: The positioning line, “Let’s Grow Together”, was developed based on University Area CDC’s Brand Promise to empower University Area residents with the essential tools needed to attain better jobs, better health and better futures for their children.

COLORS: Teal, burgundy and gold are derivatives of the three primary colors: blue, red and yellow. Primary colors are bold and indicative of children and education. The teal is reflected throughout the University Area Community in many of the buildings associated with University Area CDC and is a hallmark of the University Area CDC’s brand.
