ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
University Area CDC, in partnership with Hillsborough County Public Schools Adult Education Department offers ESOL classes at the University Area Community Center. The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program at the Adult Education Department, Hillsborough County Public Schools is designed to provide academic, social, cultural, and support services to adult English Language Learners (ELL) who desire to improve their English language proficiency. ABE/GED Program
University Area CDC, in partnership with Hillsborough County Public Schools Adult Education Department offers ABE/GED classes. The Adult Basic Education program is for students who need a high school diploma, have legally withdrawn from a traditional K-12 school or score at the ABE level on the TABE placement assessment. HEAD START
The Head Start program hosted at University Area Community Center provides child development services to economically disadvantaged children and families. This Hillsborough County program is for children ages 3-5 to provide educational opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment addressing emotional, social, health, nutritional and psychological needs. UNIVERSITY AREA FITNESS CENTER
The fitness center located at University Area Community Center is open Monday – Friday | 9am-9pm • Saturday | 9am-1pm • CLOSED Sundays To register to use for the UA Fitness Center and/or any classes offered by Hillsborough County Parks & Rec you must create an account on the Hillsborough County website and sign-up for a Wellness Access Pass.
